Child Labour

Responsibility of the Society, not the Institutions

اداروں کی نہیں ، معاشرے کی ذمہ داری

Child Labour has been one of the tragic dilemma of this society. With families living below the margin line of poverty, child labour has enveloped a huge audience of these destitute families. These children constitute street children as well as other children who are working to earn a living for their families. Observing their lives, innocent desires of childhood are suppressed under circumstances and responsibilities. Shauoor’s Child Labour Program enthusiastically struggles for their rehabilitation and basic rights. Our volunteers are always vigilant in locating such working children on streets, then we attend them in drop-in centers on daily basis where they are provided healthy food as well as educate them about health, hygiene, and basic etiquettes.

At our drop-in centers, these little warriors have a healthy interaction for a broad perspective of life and an improved lifestyle. Methodology of child rehabilitation other than child labour comprises of interaction with family and counseling in accordance with their specific concerns.

We strongly condemn child labor and belief that every child has the right to enjoy his/her childhood freedom, without workload, and responsibilities. One of our core visionary objectives in this regard is to work out possible solutions for education, motivation, and counseling of these children along with their families, in order to eliminate the root cause of becoming a child labour. Rehabilitating child labour cases either by counseling their families or by giving them alternate options that are safer to spare them time for schooling and entertainment.
