Once a celebrated and popular star, Sabira Sultana is now facing the challenges of old age, illness, loneliness, and financial hardship.
Time has changed her circumstances. Today, Sabira Sultana is living in a rented home with limited resources. Physical weakness and illness have made everyday life increasingly difficult, while meeting even her basic needs has become a challenge. The lack of family attention and consistent support has deepened her loneliness. Amid these circumstances, she suffered another accident while living alone, making urgent accident recovery, medical assistance necessary.
The team of Shauoor Welfare Foundation responded promptly, stepped forward to help Sabira Sultana, and arranged her medical treatment at Lahore General Hospital. This compassionate action reflects the true spirit of humanitarian service, which is not merely about meeting basic needs but also about standing beside those who are alone and vulnerable during difficult times. Sabira Sultana is currently receiving assistance through Shauoor Welfare Foundation’s Kafalat Program, which strives to support her accident recovery, essential needs and medical care.

صابرہ سلطانہ — پاکستانی سنیما کی سابقہ ملکۂ حسن، بڑھاپے میں تنہائی اور حادثے کا شکار، کفالت اور علاج کی منتظر ہیں۔
صابرہ سلطانہ ماضی کی نامور فلمی اداکارہ ہیں، جنہوں نے اپنی بے مثال خوبصورتی، دلکش شخصیت اور شاندار اداکاری کے باعث پاکستانی سنیما کے سنہری دور میں نمایاں مقام حاصل کیا۔ 21 ستمبر 1945 کو پیدا ہونے والی صابرہ سلطانہ کو ’’ملکۂ حسن‘‘ اور ’’سنگِ مرمر کا مجسمہ‘‘ جیسے القابات سے یاد کیا جاتا ہے۔ انہوں نے ’انصاف‘، ’جمیلہ‘، ’کنیز‘ اور ’انسان‘ جیسی یادگار فلموں میں اپنی صلاحیتوں کا مظاہرہ کیا اور فلمی دنیا میں اپنی منفرد پہچان بنائی۔ کبھی شہرت اور مقبولیت کی بلندیوں پر رہنے والی یہ فنکارہ آج بڑھاپے، بیماری، تنہائی اور مالی مشکلات کا سامنا کر رہی ہیں۔
وقت نے حالات بدل دیے ہیں۔ آج صابرہ سلطانہ صاحبہ ایک کرائے کے گھر میں محدود وسائل کے ساتھ زندگی گزار رہی ہیں۔ جسمانی کمزوری اور بیماری کے باعث ان کے لیے روزمرہ زندگی گزارنا مشکل ہوتا جا رہا ہے، جبکہ بنیادی ضروریات پوری کرنا بھی ایک چیلنج بن چکا ہے۔ اپنوں کی توجہ اور مستقل سہارے سے محرومی نے ان کی تنہائی کو مزید گہرا کر دیا ہے۔ اسی تنہائی اور بے سہارگی کے دوران وہ ایک بار پھر حادثے کا شکار ہو گئیں، جس کے باعث انہیں فوری طبی امداد کی ضرورت پیش آئی۔
شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن کی ٹیم نے بروقت قدم اٹھاتے ہوئے صابرہ سلطانہ صاحبہ کی مدد کی اور لاہور جنرل ہسپتال میں ان کے علاج کا انتظام کیا۔ یہ اقدام اس بات کا مظہر ہے کہ خدمتِ انسانیت صرف ضرورت پوری کرنے کا نام نہیں، بلکہ مشکل وقت میں کسی تنہا اور بے سہارا فرد کا ہاتھ تھامنا بھی ہے۔ صابرہ سلطانہ صاحبہ اس وقت شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن کے کفالت پروگرام کے تحت معاونت حاصل کر رہی ہیں، جہاں ان کی بنیادی ضروریات اور علاج معالجے میں تعاون کی کوشش کی جا رہی ہے۔
