From Abuse to Hope – Podcast
Podcast with Hira Siddiqui, is a story of domestic violence and a journey from abuse to Hope. Hira Siddiqui was registered as Shauoor Family member to Kafalat Program.
A mother of five children who endured years of domestic abuse, violence, and injustice at the hands of her husband. He initially pronounced divorce and later refused to finalize it.

In this difficult situation, Hira Baji chose truth and justice, and for the sake of her children’s better future, she decided to seek Khula (legal separation). As her husband wished to marry another woman, Hira Baji thanked Allah for granting her freedom from this painful relationship and protecting her from a greater sin. After obtaining Khula, she realized that she was no longer anyone’s “slave”. Today, she and her children are living a life of dignity, freedom, and peace. She recalls that her home environment was filled with fear, violence, and constant accusations. The children suffered severe psychological stress, and their education was badly affected.
Hira Baji shares that when she first approached Shauoor Welfare Foundation a year ago, she was burdened with countless problems and hardships. Today, however, she is living a calm and content life. She has escaped a deeply painful marital relationship and now feels independent, self-respecting, and strong. Positive changes have transformed her life, and she is hopeful about the future.
She further explains that Shauoor Welfare Foundation stood by her at every difficult stage, especially during her Khula and legal proceedings. According to her, Dr. Shahida Noumani and her team are like family to her. The Shauoor team never allowed her dignity to be compromised; instead, they continuously encouraged and strengthened her. The same strength was passed on to her children. Today, with the support of Shauoor Welfare Foundation, her children are receiving an education and moving toward a better life. This journey has also been made possible through the generous support of donors who took responsibility for the care of this vulnerable mother and her children.
In conclusion, Hira Baji expresses heartfelt gratitude to Allah Almighty, stating that while she once had nothing, Allah has now blessed her with everything. She considers Allah her ultimate support and protector and believes that hardships did not break her but made her stronger. Her message to others is clear: never lose hope, because every hardship in life can be endured, but losing courage is the greatest defeat.
ظلم سے اُمید تک کا سفر
حرا باجی نے پائی ظلم و ستم سے نجات اور طے کیا خوشحالی کا سفر شعور کے ساتھ۔
حرا باجی پانچ بچوں کی ماں ہیں جو طویل عرصے تک شوہر کے ظلم، تشدد اور ناانصافی کا نشانہ بنتی رہیں۔ ان کے شوہر نے پہلے طلاق دی اور پھر طلاق دینے سے انکار کر دیا۔ اس صورتحال میں حرا باجی نے حق اور سچ کا ساتھ دیا اور اپنے بچوں کے بہتر مستقبل کے لیے شوہر سے خُلع لینے کا فیصلہ کیا۔
چونکہ ان کے شوہر کسی دوسری عورت سے شادی کرنا چاہتے تھے، اس لیے حرا باجی نے اللہ کا شکر ادا کیا کہ اس نے انہیں اس تکلیف دہ رشتے سے نجات دی اور ایک بڑے گناہ سے بچایا۔ خُلع کے بعد حرا باجی نے محسوس کیا کہ وہ اب کسی کی غلام نہیں رہیں۔ آج وہ اور ان کے بچے آزاد، باوقار اور پُرسکون زندگی گزار رہے ہیں۔ وہ کہتی ہیں کہ گھر کا ماحول خوف، تشدد اور الزام تراشی سے بھرا رہتا تھا۔ بچے ذہنی دباؤ کا شکار تھے اور تعلیم شدید متاثر ہو رہی تھی۔
حرا باجی بتاتی ہیں کہ ایک سال قبل جب وہ شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن آئیں تو وہ مسائل اور مشکلات کا انبار لیے ہوئے تھیں، مگر آج وہ ایک مطمئن اور پُرسکون زندگی گزار رہی ہیں۔ انہوں نے ایک نہایت تکلیف دہ ازدواجی رشتے سے نجات حاصل کی اور اب خود کو آزاد، خوددار اور مضبوط محسوس کرتی ہیں۔ ان کی زندگی میں مثبت تبدیلی آئی ہے اور وہ مستقبل کے لیے پُرامید ہیں۔
حرا باجی نے بتایا کہ شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن نے ہر مشکل مرحلے پر ان کا ساتھ دیا، خاص طور پر خُلع اور قانونی کارروائی میں۔ ان کے مطابق ڈاکٹر شاہدہ نعمانی اور ان کی ٹیم ان کے لیے خاندان کی مانند ہیں۔ شعور کی ٹیم نے کبھی ان کی عزتِ نفس کو مجروح نہیں ہونے دیا بلکہ ہر قدم پر ان کی ہمت بڑھائی۔ یہی حوصلہ انہوں نے اپنے بچوں کو بھی دیا، آج شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن کی بدولت ان کے بچے تعلیم حاصل کر رہے ہیں اور ایک بہتر زندگی کی طرف بڑھ رہے ہیں۔ اس میں مخیر حضرات کا بھرپور تعاون بھی شامل ہے جنہوں نے اس مجبور ماں اور بچوں کی کفالت کی ذمہ داری لی۔
آخر میں حرا باجی اللہ تعالیٰ کا دل سے شکر ادا کرتی ہیں کہ کل جب ان کے پاس کچھ نہیں تھا، آج اللہ نے انہیں سب کچھ عطا کیا۔ وہ اللہ کو اپنا سہارا اور مددگار مانتی ہیں اور کہتی ہیں کہ مشکلات نے انہیں توڑا نہیں بلکہ مضبوط بنایا۔ ان کا پیغام ہے کہ ہمت کبھی نہیں ہارنی چاہیے، کیونکہ زندگی کی ہر تکلیف برداشت کی جا سکتی ہے، مگر ہمت ہار دینا سب سے بڑی شکست ہے۔
