This year, 115 girls completed various skill-based courses and were awarded diplomas, while 12 girls received sewing machines and 6 girls were provided with laptops. These facilities represent a strong step toward self-reliance, empowering the girls to become skilled and support their families and younger siblings with dignity. Currently, 175 girls are enrolled at the Dina Welfare Center in different courses, including advanced handicrafts, computer skills, crochet, beauty salon training, cooking, and baking. Our goal is to equip orphaned and underprivileged girls—who are unable to attend schools or colleges—with practical skills so they can become confident, productive, and respected members of society. Today, the Shauoor Welfare Foundation has seen the realization of a dream, as this institution—once established on the site of a garbage dump—has grown into a center of hope and opportunity. The purpose of its establishment was to help helpless and orphaned girls stand on their own feet by providing skills instead of encouraging dependency. Shauoor Girls Vocational Center of Dina Welfare Center, Jhelum has now become a model institution, where more than 200 students graduate each year with high-quality skills and enter practical life. The success stories of the girls who earn diplomas from this center are a great source of pride for us. With the support of generous donors, we continue to move forward on the journey from support to self-reliance. Along with Begum Kot, three more centers and non-formal schools have already been established, and we are ready to partner with you to expand further.
