Raising Kids in Old Age

Some mothers carry the burden of their children even in old age, despite their own frailty. One such example is Daim Saad Amma, who collects scrap at her advanced age, earning only 400 PKR per day.

She supports her three unmarried daughters, often seen walking miles to save on transport costs. She eats at our Dastarkhwan Shauoor but has become increasingly unwell.
