He once worked hard, as a rickshaw driver to support his children, but today he is a paralysis patient and, due to severe spinal issues, is confined to his bed. When the Shauoor Welfare Foundation team visited his home, they discovered that the family is living in extreme poverty. Safdar Bhai has four special children who can neither hear nor speak. These children require special care, medical treatment, and education, but the lack of resources has left their future uncertain. The entire burden of the household now falls on his wife, who works in people’s homes to somehow manage daily expenses. Limited income, a rented house, increasing debt, and lack of medical care—these challenges have surrounded the family. Neither Safdar Bhai is receiving proper treatment, nor are the children being adequately cared for or educated. At present, this family stands at a painful crossroads where they must choose between buying medicine, treating their children, or repaying debts. Safdar Bhai is unable to do anything due to his illness, and this helplessness is making their situation even more critical.
