Renowned Pakistani actor Firdous Jamal, widely recognized for his memorable role as Maulvi Subhan Allah in the hit ARY Digital drama Pyare Afzal, written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and starring Ayeza Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi, shared heartfelt memories during his visit to Shauoor Maan Ghar.
During the session, he fondly recalled his iconic performance in the classic PTV drama Man Chalay ka Sauda, written by the legendary Ashfaq Ahmed.
He spoke about the unique character of Professor played by Khayam Sarhadi, whose complex language was often difficult for the common audience to grasp, and reflected on his own versatile roles in the drama, where he portrayed multiple characters including a postman, sweeper, cobbler, and shepherd.
The mothers, daughters, and Dr. Shahida Noumani present at the gathering highly appreciated his remarkable acting skills and versatility. They also recalled his impressive portrayal of an elderly man in another drama, written by Ashfaq Ahmed, despite the fact that Firdous Jamal was quite young at the time.
Firdous Jamal further expressed his lifelong passion for entertaining audiences, especially through comedic roles, which he always wished to explore more during his acting career.
من چلے کا سودا – اشفاق احمد
معروف پاکستانی اداکار فردوس جمال، جو ARY ڈیجیٹل کے مقبول ڈرامے ’’پیارے افضل‘‘ میں مولوی سبحان اللہ کے یادگار کردار کی وجہ سے پہچانے جاتے ہیں، جسے خلیل الرحمٰن قمر نے تحریر کیا اور جس میں عائزہ خان اور حمزہ علی عباسی نے مرکزی کردار ادا کیے، نے شعور ماں گھر کے دورے کے دوران اپنی فنی زندگی کی خوبصورت یادیں تازہ کیں۔
اس نشست کے دوران انہوں نے پاکستان ٹیلی وژن کے کلاسک ڈرامے ’’من چلے کا سودا‘‘ کا خصوصی ذکر کیا، جو عظیم ادیب اشفاق احمد کا تحریر کردہ تھا۔ انہوں نے اس ڈرامے کے منفرد کردار پروفیسر ختم سرحدی پر گفتگو کی، جن کی زبان عام ناظرین کے لیے بسا اوقات مشکل سمجھی جاتی تھی، اور ساتھ ہی ڈرامے میں ادا کیے گئے اپنے مختلف کرداروں کو بھی یاد کیا، جن میں ڈاکیا، خاکروب، موچی اور گڈریا شامل تھے۔
تقریب میں موجود ماؤں، بیٹیوں اور ڈاکٹر شاہدہ نعمانی نے فردوس جمال کی شاندار اداکاری اور ہمہ جہت صلاحیتوں کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے اشفاق احمد کے تحریر کردہ ایک اور ڈرامے میں فردوس جمال کے بوڑھے شخص کے کردار کو بھی یاد کیا، حالانکہ اس وقت وہ عمر کے لحاظ سے خاصے کم سن تھے۔
فردوس جمال نے اس موقع پر اس خواہش کا بھی اظہار کیا کہ وہ ہمیشہ ناظرین کو تفریح فراہم کرنا چاہتے رہے ہیں، بالخصوص مزاحیہ کرداروں کے ذریعے، جنہیں ادا کرنے کا شوق انہیں اپنے پورے فنی سفر میں رہا ہے۔
