A lonely woman struggles to raise four children who are not her own but her late sister’s. Their home is engulfed in extreme poverty—she fasts with water and breaks her fast with the same. The children do not go to study because they feel embarrassed seeing others enjoy treats like samosas and pakoras, which they can only dream of but cannot afford.
