When the team from Shauoor Welfare Foundation visited her home, those moments brought her a glimpse of happiness. She shared beautiful memories of her past, yet the loneliness in her eyes was still evident. Today, Sabira Sultana is under the care of Shauoor Welfare Foundation, but there are many more mothers like her who still need our attention and support. ماضی کی نامور فلمسٹار صابرہ سلطانہ، جن کی پیدائش 21 ستمبر 1945 کو ہوئی، اپنی بے مثال خوبصورتی اور شاندار اداکاری کے باعث “ملکۂ حسن” کے لقب سے مشہور ہوئیں۔ انہوں نے ’انصاف‘، ’جمیلہ‘، ’کنیز‘ اور ’انسان‘ جیسی یادگار فلموں میں اپنی فنکارانہ صلاحیتوں کا لوہا منوایا اور پاکستانی سنیما کے سنہری دور کو چار چاند لگا دیے۔ صابرہ سلطانہ نہ صرف ایک عظیم اداکارہ تھیں بلکہ ایک ایسا روشن ستارہ تھیں جنہیں “سنگِ مرمر کا مجسمہ” سمیت کئی اعزازات سے نوازا گیا۔ آج بھی ان کا نام پاکستانی فلمی تاریخ میں عزت اور محبت کے ساتھ یاد کیا جاتا ہے۔ مگر وقت کے بدلتے رنگوں نے آج اسی ملکۂ حسن کو تنہائی اور بے بسی کی زندگی میں لا کھڑا کیا ہے۔ بڑھاپے میں وہ ایک کرائے کے گھر میں تنہا زندگی گزار رہی ہیں، جہاں نہ سہارا ہے اور نہ ہی اپنوں کی توجہ—یہاں تک کہ دو وقت کی روٹی کے لیے بھی دوسروں کی محتاج ہیں۔
شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن کی ٹیم نے جب ان کے گھر کا دورہ کیا تو وہ لمحے ان کے لیے خوشیوں کا باعث بنے۔ انہوں نے ماضی کی خوبصورت یادیں تازہ کیں، مگر ان کی آنکھوں میں آج بھی تنہائی کی جھلک نمایاں تھی۔ آج صابرہ سلطانہ شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن کے زیر کفالت ہیں، مگر ایسی بہت سی مائیں اب بھی ہماری توجہ اور سہارا چاہتی ہیں۔
