Now, she is caught between an abusive, addicted husband and a helpless, disabled father-in-law. In the midst of this, her innocent children look at her with hope, wondering if there will be food to eat today. These children are not only suffering from poverty but also from severe emotional distress, as they witness daily conflict and violence at home.

نشے میں مبتلا شوہر، معذور سسر — انیس بی بی کے گھر میں فاقے ہیں اور بچوں کا مستقبل خطرے میں ہے ۔
انیس بی بی کی زندگی مشکلات، دکھوں اور آزمائشوں سے بھری ہوئی ہے۔ ان کا شوہر نشے کی لت میں مبتلا ہے، جس کے باعث گھر کا ماحول نہایت خراب ہو چکا ہے اور وہ اکثر تشدد کا شکار بھی ہوتی ہیں۔ گھر میں موجود چھوٹے چھوٹے بچے مالی تنگی کی وجہ سے تعلیم اور دو وقت کے کھانے جیسی بنیادی ضروریات سے بھی محروم ہیں۔
پہلے ان کے سسر کسی حد تک سہارا دیتے تھے، مگر ایک حادثے کے نتیجے میں وہ اپنی دونوں ٹانگوں سے محروم ہو کر بستر تک محدود ہو گئے، جس کے بعد گھر کی تمام ذمہ داری انیس بی بی کے کندھوں پر آ گئی۔
اب ایک طرف نشے کا عادی شوہر ہے اور دوسری طرف معذور سسر، جبکہ معصوم بچوں کی بھوکی نظریں ہر روز اپنی ماں کو اس امید سے دیکھتی ہیں کہ شاید آج گھر میں کھانا میسر آ سکے۔ یہ بچے نہ صرف غربت بلکہ شدید ذہنی اذیت کا بھی شکار ہیں، کیونکہ وہ روزانہ گھریلو جھگڑے اور تشدد کا سامنا کرتے ہیں۔
