Urgent Rent – Landlord Threats
Case No 1654 – bedridden Waris bhai used to earn his livelihood by making traditional wooden beds (charpoys) through hard manual labor, but a stroke has left him unable to work. Extreme poverty and hunger have taken over his life to the point where he has been forced to beg. The landlord has asked the family to vacate the house, and coming onto the streets with innocent children is nothing short of a nightmare for them.

Waris Bhai, the sole breadwinner for his five young children, is now bedridden due to paralysis, while his wife is also seriously ill. The family is compelled to live in a severely damaged and broken house. On days when Waris Bhai manages to earn something, a meal is cooked; otherwise, they spend the remaining days in hunger. Three months’ rent is overdue, work is almost nonexistent, and they now have no place left to take shelter. In this harsh winter season, arranging at least a roof over the children’s heads is urgently needed, along with setting up a small shop to help restore a source of livelihood. Waris Bhai is seeking financial assistance from Shauoor Welfare Foundation so that his rent can be paid and this respectable family can be saved from becoming homeless. وارث بھائی چارپائی بنانے کا کام کرتے تھے اور اسی محنت مزدوری سے اپنے گھر کا گزارہ کرتے تھے، مگر فالج کی بیماری نے انہیں کام کے قابل نہیں چھوڑا۔ فاقوں اور غربت کی انتہا ہو چکی ہے، یہاں تک کہ بھیک مانگنے کی نوبت آ گئی ہے۔ مالکِ مکان گھر خالی کرنے کا کہہ رہا ہے اور معصوم بچوں کے ساتھ سڑک پر آ جانا ان کے لیے کسی قیامت سے کم نہیں۔
پانچ چھوٹے چھوٹے بچوں کے واحد کفیل وارث بھائی فالج کے باعث بستر پر پڑے ہیں، جبکہ ان کی اہلیہ بھی شدید بیمار ہیں۔ ایک انتہائی ٹوٹے پھوٹے گھر میں یہ خاندان زندگی گزارنے پر مجبور ہے۔ جب کبھی وارث بھائی کچھ کما لاتے ہیں تو اس دن چولہا جل جاتا ہے، ورنہ باقی دن فاقوں میں گزرتے ہیں۔ تین ماہ کا کرایہ واجب الادا ہے، کام نہ ہونے کے برابر ہے اور اب سر چھپانے کے لیے کوئی جگہ باقی نہیں رہی۔ اس سخت سردی کے موسم میں بچوں کے لیے کم از کم ایک چھت کا انتظام انتہائی ضروری ہے، اس کے ساتھ ساتھ کسی چھوٹی سی دکان کے ذریعے روزگار کا بندوبست بھی ناگزیر ہے۔ وارث بھائی شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن سے مالی امداد کے طلبگار ہیں تاکہ ان کا کرایہ ادا ہو سکے اور یہ سفید پوش خاندان دربدر ہونے سے بچ جائے۔ آئیے! اس نیکی کے کام میں ہمارا ساتھ دیجیے، ایسے مجبور اور سفید پوش خاندانوں کو سہارا دینے میں شعور ویلفیئر فاؤنڈیشن کے ساتھ تعاون کیجیے اور نیکی کے اس سفر میں اس ادارے کی ہمت بنیے۔
