سومیہ بی بی گزشتہ چھ سال سے بیوگی کی زندگی گزار رہی ہیں۔ شوہر کے انتقال کے بعد انہوں نے ہمت نہیں ہاری اور سلائی کا کام کرکے اپنے بچوں کی پرورش اور تعلیم کا سلسلہ جاری رکھا۔ مگر آج شوگر اور گردوں کی بیماری نے انہیں اس حد تک کمزور کر دیا ہے کہ وہ پہلے کی طرح کام کرنے کے قابل نہیں رہیں۔
بیماری کے ساتھ گھر کا کرایہ، روزمرہ کے اخراجات اور مہنگی ادویات کا بوجھ ان کے لیے ناقابلِ برداشت ہو چکا ہے۔ بروقت علاج اور دوائی نہ ملنے کے باعث ان کی طبیعت مزید بگڑ رہی ہے، جبکہ گھر کے مالی حالات ایسے ہیں کہ کئی مرتبہ فاقوں کی نوبت آ جاتی ہے۔
