One recently underwent hernia surgery and is still weak, while the other works as a dry cleaner, ironing clothes to help support the household. Poverty and illness have pushed this family to such an extent that the children had to leave school because managing the household became too difficult. Living in a small rented home, each day brings a new struggle, and the constant fear of eviction due to unpaid rent hangs over them. Despite all these challenges, their hope is still alive. Shazia hopes that a small business—especially a food or small setup to sell Naan Chaney — can be arranged for her husband, so she can cook at home while he manages the work. شازیہ باجی ایک بیوی کے علاوہ ایک ماں بھی ہیں — مگر اس وقت وہ خود شدید بیماری سے لڑ رہی ہیں۔ ریڑھ کی ہڈی (مہروں) کے سنگین مسئلے نے ان کی صحت کو بری طرح متاثر کر دیا ہے، لیکن اس کے باوجود وہ اپنے بچوں کے لیے ہر تکلیف برداشت کر رہی ہیں۔ دوسری جانب ان کے شوہر شوگر اور بلڈ پریشر جیسے امراض میں مبتلا ہیں، اور شوگر کی پیچیدگیوں کے باعث ان کے دونوں پاؤں شدید متاثر ہو چکے ہیں، جس کی وجہ سے وہ کام کرنے کے قابل نہیں رہے۔ شازیہ کے دو بیٹے ہیں۔ ایک بیٹے کا حال ہی میں ہرنیا کا آپریشن ہوا ہے جس کے باعث وہ کمزور ہے، جبکہ دوسرا بیٹا ایک ڈرائی کلینر کی دکان پر کپڑے استری کر کے گھر کا خرچ اٹھانے کی کوشش کر رہا ہے۔ غربت اور بیماری نے اس خاندان کو اس نہج پر پہنچا دیا ہے کہ بچوں کو تعلیم بھی چھوڑنی پڑی، کیونکہ گھر کا نظام چلانا مشکل ہو چکا تھا۔ کرائے کے چھوٹے سے گھر میں ہر دن ایک نئی آزمائش لے کر آتا ہے، اور اکثر کرایہ ادا نہ ہونے پر گھر خالی کرنے کا بھی خطرہ منڈلاتا رہتا ہے۔
