When needed, he was readmitted to the hospital and given urgent treatment. Sadly, after fighting his illness, Aftab Ahmad passed away. His death left behind a widow and three children without their primary support. One of his daughters had already been forced to leave her education and start working due to difficult circumstances while her father was still alive. When we visited their home, we saw a collection of trophies. We learned that these were the achievements of the same daughter. She had dreams of continuing her education, but difficult circumstances forced her to give up her studies and work instead. Today, she has also lost her father’s protection. Her two younger brothers live with intellectual disabilities, and their care has become her responsibility. She also has to support and care for her widowed mother. The daughter who herself needed her father’s support has now been forced to become the support of her entire family.
