وہیل چیئر کی تقسیم صرف نقل و حرکت کی سہولت نہیں، بلکہ یہ ضرورت مند افراد کی عزتِ نفس کی بحالی کی جانب ایک اہم قدم ہے۔ رحمت بانو اس حقیقت کی زندہ مثال ہے۔
رحمت پیدائشی طور پر معذور تھی اور چلنے پھرنے سے قاصر تھی۔ اس کی زندگی محرومیوں، ٹھکرائے جانے اور تکالیف سے بھری ہوئی تھی۔ بیٹیوں کی پیدائش کے بعد اس کے والد نے یہ کہہ کر خاندان کو چھوڑ دیا کہ وہ ان کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھا سکتا۔
رحمت کا درد اس کے اپنے فیصلوں کا نہیں، بلکہ ان حالات کا نتیجہ تھا جو اس پر تھوپ دیے گئے۔
اس کے خواب اُس دنیا کے رنگوں سے بھرے تھے جو اس کے کمرے کی چار دیواری سے باہر تھی — ایک ایسی دنیا جسے وہ چھونا چاہتی تھی، مگر اس کے پاس آگے بڑھنے کا کوئی ذریعہ نہ تھا۔
