This is a dignified family that has been struck by multiple hardships at once.
The father is critically ill, the young son has suffered a fractured hip, the daughter-in-law is battling tuberculosis (TB), and there are two small, innocent children in the household.
There is no one left to earn, and all resources for medical treatment and basic food supplies have been exhausted.
They are not people who beg, but desperation has forced them to extend a hand for help.
